FOR CAMPS Applying for SCOPE Funding
Parents, this section is for camps only. Please click here to visit our section for Parents
Residential, not-for-profit camps that are accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA) may apply annually for participation in SCOPE Midwest. The process for camps is as follows
- Camps must submit all required participation forms and documentation by the deadline
- Camps must include a request for funding
- Camps are notified of their allocations in late April, pending and subject to review of fiscal fundraising results for the year.
- Camps must submit required documentation for each funded camper by the deadline, usually in late August or early September.
- Payments to camps are made after the camp season.
- Although SCOPE sets the guidelines, camps are responsible for recruiting and enrolling campers in partnership with community agencies and schools. Parents may also apply to camps directly.
- Note: A SCOPE scholarship is $500 per camper
